I love the doctor and the staff. It’s conveniently close to my work for me personally. I like the environment here, and I’m comfortable here. The personality of the staff, being very professional but welcoming and carefree, even jovial and joking around with you, you don’t always get that everywhere you go. I’ve been coming here a long time, about 17 years, been consistent the whole time. The staff has changed a little bit, not a lot, but the quality of service has not changed. I know a lot of people don’t like to come to the dentist. I’ve had to come to the dentist a lot over the years for different reasons, from early childhood jaw surgery, to apicoectomies, to root canals, to, you know, tooth removal. For different reasons, I’ve been here a lot, but I’ve never had that fear of the dentist here that I think some people have.

I’ve had dentistry in my family all my life and my dad used to say to us all the time, “You want to make sure that they are friendly, and that the place is extremely clean, and that you feel comfortable as though you were a member of their family.” So when I came here 11 years ago, that was the first thing I asked when I came in and observed and it has been perfect for every visit since I have come in.

I didn’t think it could get better, but they make you feel so easy, there’s no other place that I would go. I find that he’s genuine. He always comes in and he’ll say, “How was your day?” He’ll shake your hand when you’re done, and he always will tell you, “I am here if you need anything.” That made all the difference in the world because there was one time that I had a crown going on and we lost power and I said, “How are we going to deal with this?”

And he came back to me, and he said, “Do not worry because if you have to return tomorrow, even though it’s our day off, I’m coming in.” And I thought, “Who does that?” So when it comes to dentistry, you should not fool around with it. So you can’t get the service that they provide you here anywhere else. They would drop everything for you to take care of you. And I know that for 11 years of being here.

Seventeen years ago, we were looking for a dentist. We discovered Vonore Dental and have been coming ever since and we love…well, we like to come here because we know we are going to be treated well and good people here, and very good dentistry. I think one of the items is the the pleasantry of the staff. Always, you and your friends, always have a smile, very cordial, very polite.

The dentistry that we’ve come across has been excellent, whether it’s a cavity filled, whether it’s some other service, it’s been expert service. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with a smile and a welcome, and that’s the staff at the counter. And then the actual staff who services, they’re experts in their field. I love coming here because I know I get super high-quality dental care and because I enjoy the atmosphere of all the workers here, including the administrative staff, the hygienists, everyone who works in the practice. It seems like they really enjoy their jobs, and they’re totally patient-oriented to make your experience the best that it could be. I think the whole package here is at the highest level.

Dr. Fugate is an outstanding dentist. Everyone who works in the practice goes above and beyond what you would expect from any kind of an employee, whether it’s the people at the desk who are handling your dental insurance issues, or whether it’s your hygienist or the people who assist Dr. Fugate in his procedures. It’s just a very high level of competence, and it’s just enjoyable to be with people that are enjoying their jobs so much.

The quality of care here has been outstanding, particularly the necessity for the doctor to refer me to other specialists, and he’s integrated their working into his care for my dental issues. So that’s worked incredibly well. I would highly recommend this practice, and I always have, because the proof is in the pudding, the dental care that I’ve received, and my wife has received over 17 years. It’s at the highest level that I could anticipate receiving from a dental practice.

Recently I have switched my sleep apnea device from what I was using to a new version, which Dr. Fugate made me aware of in the last year. And the one I was using was breaking often, and it was expensive to repair. I actually like a lot better and is a lot more robust than what I was using before. If people are looking for something besides CPAP, the mouthpiece is a great alternative to sleep apnea without having something strapped to your face all night.

And it’s much more advanced than the cheap $50, $70 ones you buy off Amazon or eBay or any of the internet sites. I’ve tried them all, and I’ve done other expensive ones from other dentists. But this new version is far and above better than the other ones I’ve tried. My recommendation would be to definitely just give it a shot. I think you would find that the staff are very personable, and you’d feel right at home here and comfortable, and maybe some of your fears would be eased.

It wasn’t so much the smile as it was just that the tooth had decayed for the age that I’m at and we needed to do some reconstruction work. I actually had trouble eating where it was hot and cold and when I came for my…actually when I came for my cleaning, I mentioned it, and they’ll do an x-ray. And it’s interesting because if it’s not far gone enough it’ll be a watch, but on this particular day I said we have to do something more than that.

So they accommodated me. Within the following week, I had an appointment. And we’ve traveled a lot. The last particular…about two years ago, we were traveling and I had just had a crown. Even the doctor had said, “What you can do is if you’re…” Because I told him if I’m in New England [SP], I don’t want anybody touching me. We were going to be there for three weeks, call it in, and I will make sure that you can get something that’ll carry you over so that when you get back we’ll take care of it. And I never needed that.

So just that sense of security helped a lot. The beauty of coming here is when you get a crown you get to sit and leave with a permanent crown, that, to me, is crucial. I feel like I can smile. Not that…a lot of people tell me that I always walk into a room, it seems, smiling. But I don’t feel that way. But I just feel more confident with the dental work, and it just makes you feel all-in-all good, you know, general health pretty well. So that worked out pretty well.

When we first got here, I went to two different dental that was recommended. I didn’t have a good experience with any of them. It’s a real bad experience with them. And Phyllis finally recommended that I come up here, and I did so. Most of the work that I had done with other dentists had to be redone. He’s firm with me because not everybody likes to go to the dentist, and I’m one of those. I procrastinate about coming here, but he’s made me feel at home here. And he’s done excellent work for me.

I’ve had crowns done. He’s sent me to different places to have root canals. He’s sent me to different places to have a tooth pulled. And my first experience with having crown is made here, you know, which is awesome. I had a lot of dental work done here, and I couldn’t ask for better results. And again, if you need anything, emergency services, he’s on board. The care that you get is just far better than any dental I’ve ever been to.

I had some concerns about a couple of teeth in my mouth. Dr. Fugate was able to attend to and fix for me. That just allowed me to very comfortably smile again. The availability is paramount. If I know if I have a problem, then I will be seen quickly, and Dr. Fugate will be able to attend to me quickly also. If I did have an occasion where I felt that I needed to be seen quickly, and so I expressed that to the staff, and I was seen really very, very fast.

So I think that’s very important in the dental world. It has improved my smile. I smile a lot. I am always delighted to smile because of the care that I have received from here. I have always been comfortable in this office, not so much in my previous dental office. But once I came in here, met the staff, met the doctor, I was very comfortable, and it was easy to be comfortable with you and your staff members, and the doctor.

I think my oral health has been improved tremendously with particularly gum issues, constant attention to the condition of my teeth, and the coordination with periodontists to make sure that those two things are done on a timely basis so that I don’t get into problems. And I’ve had pretty much no problems the entire time I’ve been a patient here because the doctor is on top of those things.

It was important that I’d be in a dental practice that made sure that the periodontal end of it was also paid attention to. Back in the day, yeah, I did have pain from the periodontal issues, which I do not have anymore. I haven’t had it in all the years I’ve been part of this practice. My condition was pretty well under control when I got here, but it needed that maintenance. And I needed to have him get me to a periodontist that would be part of a team that would make sure I didn’t…those conditions didn’t recur. It’s not a problem anymore. I don’t worry about it anymore. I know it’s completely under control, and I know if anything develops that it’ll be taken care of right away.

Crowns while you wait. Very professional. Great staff. Just had another visit to crown my new implant. Great digital impression and installation was pretty seamless. Another great visit for an oral hygiene appointment and X-rays. All good. Typical professional friendly competent service. Also followed up on the crowns of 2 new implants done in September. Great to have all my teeth problem free. Be back in February to replace 2 old old crowns (while I wait of course). Cannot do any better!! Typically good oral hygiene appointment with Emily. On time into the chair. Initial inspection and explained how I can do a better job of brushing. Measured my pockets and did a thorough cleaning. Friendly and professional as always. 5 star as always.

Dr. Fugate told me that I have another old, old crown that is starting to pull away from my gums & cracking/ flaking a bit in one section.
